Kate's love for music began when she was just a little girl. At the age of 7, she discovered her talent for singing as she was sitting in her kitchen belting out the theme song from the movie” The Little Mermaid”. Her passion for music grew as a teen while singing at church and performing in high school musicals.

At the age of 15, Kate was scouted at the Oregon State fair by a local model agent and there began her career in modeling. After graduation she moved to New York to continue her career in modeling and to pursue her first love, music. Nauta has been featured in campaigns for Versace, L’Oreal, DKNY and Abercrombie and Fitch.

In 2005 her career branched off when she was hand picked by Luc Besson to star in Transporter 2 in which she also sang two original songs for the movies soundtrack.

The same year Lenny Kravitz was visiting a mutual friend and heard her cover of Roberta Flacks “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face”. When the two finally met, Lenny was astounded that a voice with such force and depth was coming out of a 5’9 tall, thin Caucasian woman.

After having a successful career in both film & fashion, Kate is currently focusing on her true passion & calling in life, to sing, write & produce music. She reunited with Lenny years after their initial meeting and started recording her album at his studio in the Bahamas.

She is currently putting the finishing touches on her album with songs produced by Lenny Kravitz & other notable music producers.

Her album, Love, Loss and Recovery is set to release beginning of next year.
